FINRA.org
The Financial Regulatory Authority is the
successor to the NASD (National Association of
Securities Dealers) and is the largest independent
regulator of all securities firms doing business in
the United States. FINRA oversees nearly 4,850
brokerage firms, about 173,000 branch offices and
approximately 649,000 registered securities
representatives.
This is the watchdog agency policing brokers and
protecting investors. And it has lots of tools and
information resources for investors. I use it every
day for bond information and screening. This is a
valuable resource and I urge you to user it
regularly.
AAII.com American
Association of Individual Investors is a non-profit
organization formed in 1978 to help individual
investors unbiased investment information. It is a
membership site but it has lots of free information
and investment education. I have been a member since
1978. I use many of their resources. I especially
like the Stock Investor Pro, which is a subscription
for data on 9000 stocks.
ICI.org Investment
Company Institute is the association representing
investment companies. It members include over 9,000
mutual funds, and 1,200 closed-end and
Exchange-traded funds. The site has lots of investor
education resources.
SIFMA.org
This is
the Securities Industry and Financial Market
Association (Sifma)Sifma is a non-profit association
representing the interests of securities firms,
brokers and asset managers. This free site offers
research and investor information on both stocks and
bonds.

information. I subscribe because it gives me a

Association of Publicly Traded Partnerships.
Publicly traded partnerships (PTPs), often known as
master limited partnerships (MLPs), are limited
partnerships which are traded on public exchanges.
This site gives you the entire list and helpful
investor in master limited partnerships.
REIT.com
National
Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. This
non-profit organization represents the interests of
the REIT industry. REITs have a privileged tax
status useful to income investors. This site gives
you lots of educational material on REITs. |
